I would have not considered a jvc camera since i have been a canon and sony user most of my career. Jvc hit it out of the park with this one. Best camera i have ever owned.
Camera is great so far still learning how to use it.
This is a flexible workhorse that’s a worthy upgrade from the panasonic ag-af100. However, i have not yet found a wireless 150mbps 802. 11n usb adapter that works with the gy-ls300. I tried this generic usb wifi adapter and the camera did not recognize it:http://www. A totally underrated camera just because it doesn’t say canon, sony, arri, red or panasonic on the side. Camera snobs need a reality check as this is a superb tool for producing stunning images.
this is kind of a hard one to review. This cam has some great features and i have some gripes about it as well. The bottom line though i bought a second one because i like the quality so much. Here is my review:ok, so now that i have shot with the jvc gy-ls300 on a actual paid gig i can say now that it is worth the price tag and pound for pound it is probably the best quality cam in it’s price point and surrounding price points. I originally had the panasonic lumix gh5 prior to owning the ls300. I sold the gh5 because of the form factor and a few other issues. When it comes to the ls300, is there is room for some improvements, yes. After shooting a professional gig yesterday and bringing the footage home for post edit. I’m completely convinced the ls300 is pound for pound the best in it’s class considering quality, form factor, and ease of use (these are the 3 things that matter to me). Improvements i would like to see on the ls300:cons*evf needs serious improvements – jvc needs to send out an external evf for customer inconvenience.

This camera is a plastic body. You’ll have to be very careful with it. The few finder is useless and the lcd panel is useless. I use an atomos ninja flame monitor and the metabones ef adapter. The images off this camera are beautiful. It also has j-log great dynamic range. Jvc just announced uhd 60p out via hdmi compatible with atomos inferno. It also has built in nd filters. You can also over rank the frame rate to get great timelapse and it has 1080 120fps for great slow motion. If you know how to use this camera it’s great.
