Good product if you don’t expect too much–fun to play with but not a serious camera.
The coby snapp 3000 is a nice quick little camera that shoots both still images and video. It’s only drawback is that video can’t be too quick or there will be some lag. I like that you can upload your video directly to you youtube account.
Ok, i bought this coby cam to take to new york. It did its job, but wish i would have gone with a higher quality cam. But i got it for 15 bucks delivered, so i cant complain too much. It does freeze at times, so you have to remove a battery and put it back to get it going again.
Managed to snag this camera for $19. 99 from j&r, and purchased an 8gb memory card for $14 at the local target. The instructions indicate the coby camera accepts up to an 8gb card, which would give it about 2 hours of recording time. When i inserted the 8gb card, the camera froze. It would start up, then freeze, and the only way to turn it off was to remove a battery. I did this 5-6 times, with the same result. I called coby and was told my camera might be defective and i would have to return it to receive a replacement. It would cost as much as the original price to return, so i declined. The camera worked fine with no card, but with minimal internal storage i got about 20 seconds of recording time. I tried again with a 4gb card, and the camera still froze.
Shipped quickly, works easily, decent picture, built-in speaker is very poor. Easy to plug-n-play on computer.
Reviews from purchasers :
- Great Stuff
- Good for beginners.
- for the price its good
For the price, it’s absolutely awesome. Just a couple of days before i bought this, i found out that my class was going on a trip and we needed cameras for our projects. I was really scared that i didn’t have a camera. But just now i just noticed this camera has a camera and a camcorder. This thing saved my live for 30 bucks.
Bought for a corporate event and for it’s purpose it worked well. I would not recommend for higher end shooting though.
Bought this for my 10 year old for christmas. We bought a 8g memory card and it’s plenty for her anf her friends.
For the price it was a decent little unit. Kept our son entertained for months.
Great stuff, i really get tired of everyone wanting you to rate purchase’s. If i did not think the item or the sellers were going to do good with the transaction, i wouldn’t have bought it. So hats off to this reseller. He did his job well and now can reap his reward.
This is a good deal for the money. The only problem i had was when i had a 4g mem card it froze up alot but i replaced that with a 2g card and it works great. Would recommend this as a kids first camcorder.
This little camera does what it is supposed to do. Picture quality is ok for it being 1. Audio quality on the other hand leaves something to be desired. It records audio decently except for the high pitch squeal that is in most of the recordings. I am not sure why it doesn’t happen in all of them but the majority it does. One thing i wish was different is the batteries. It uses 4 aaa batteries and really it should come with a rechargeable battery. This is because it shortens the battery life when you use either the built in light or video preview often. This camera is great for beginners who do not want to spend a whole lot and want to try it out.
And bought one for my niece. Takes pictures and mini movies. Picture clarity is not too bad. Good for kids and if they keeep using it, then upgraded to a better camera. But for kids playing around with it, it is durable ( dropeed several times ) and still works.
